Integrity lost a little to politics. This industry is politics like any other "hob nob, who yah know" art form out there. Embracing traditional americana, snubbing traditional americana... Can't please all the people all the time, is what I keep telling myself. I am thinking about the world I would be most comfortable in....
I love all of you, I can't help it. I want you to succeed but I want to talk shit with the best of them and sometimes, I do. At night when I can't sleep because of it... I wonder if this industry is killing my integrity, my sweet side. It piles a mountain of chips on my shoulder, weighing me down so that I am just as sour as your prideful self has left you... maybe I just need to move left a little more. ;) -j
